Dr. Kaye has worked in child welfare research and policy since 1998. Prior to joining RYC, Dr. Kaye worked as a Research Assistant for the Research to Practice Initiative at the Child Welfare League of America, a Child Welfare Research Assistant at the Urban Institute, and a Research Assistant/Legislative Aide at Gateway-Longview, Inc, a private child welfare agency in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Kaye has also worked as the Research Team Leader for the Transition to Fatherhood project and the Grants Manager for the Strengthening Rural Maryland Families direct services grants program. Dr. Kaye’s research interests target the nexus of child welfare research, policy and practice. Her work is applied with the intention of informing and improving child welfare services and child and family outcomes. She is particularly interested in adolescents and transition-age youth in out-of-home placements and the intersection of mental health, juvenile justice, substance abuse treatment, and other service systems with child welfare. |
